City Selects Tonka Water BLEU™ Underdrain

Tonka Water has been chosen for the refurbishment of the City's existing treatment system in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. This project will include a renovated surface water treatment system including the Tonka Water BLEU™ stainless steel underdrain, along with the innovative Simul-Wash™ washwater conservation system.

Tonka Water's BLEU™ underdrain replaces the current underdrain in order to extend the usable life of the filter. This stainless steel underdrain has a dual chambered design with air located externally eliminating all filtration dead zones.

Tonka Water Chosen for Renovation of Water Treatment System

Tonka Water has been chosen for the refurbishment of an existing water treatment system in Rio Hondo, Texas. The existing concrete system provides flocculation, tube settler sedimentation, and granular media filtration. As a part of this project, new customized Tonka Water paddle-wheel flocculators will be supplied, and the sedimentation basin will be fitted with new, efficient tube settlers, and the innovative MechVac™ mechanical sludge removal system.  Also included will be the addition of a third filter cell, and the two existing filter cells will be refurbished to match, incorporating Tonka Water’s Simul-Wash™ backwash process, BLEU™ stainless steel underdrains and engineered media.

Membrane Expansion Project in Gwinner, ND Commissioned

The Gwinner, ND treatment plant was recently commissioned with both refurbished and new Tonka Water equipment to increase treatment capacity by 50%. This expanded membrane softening system includes the addition of filtration capacity and the refurbishment of existing filters. New membrane skids and a degasifier replaced the original equipment- all furnished and guaranteed by Tonka Water.

Tonka Water Selected to Provide Water Treatment System in Watertown, WI

Tonka Water was recently selected to provide treatment equipment for a new water treatment plant in Watertown, Wisconsin. This system includes induced draft aerators and horizontal pressure filters for the treatment of iron and manganese. This new system will replace a 39 year old plant with original Tonka Water equipment, a testament to the lasting quality and design of Tonka Water products.

North Dakota Community Chooses Tonka Water

Tonka Water has recently been chosen to complete water plant improvements in Rolla, North Dakota. The project includes additional equipment for their existing water treatment system consisting of a degasifier and membrane technology, using nano filtration.

Tonka Water Plant Refurbished in Long Prairie, MN

Tonka Water recently completed a refurbishment for the Long Prairie, Minnesota water treatment plant by casting a new monolithic underdrain into the existing gravity filter and replacing the media retaining nozzles and media in order to extend the operational life of the plant for years to come.

Tonka Water has been chosen to provide equipment and services for the refurbishment of an iron removal plant in Wayzata, Minnesota.  This existing Tonka Water Dualator® I plant will receive a new underdrain system, media and other replacement components, extending the life of the installation.
