California Community Chooses Tonka Water

Tonka Water has been chosen to provide a steel gravity filter system with controls, for the Pleasant Valley State Prison in Coalinga, California. Intimate performance knowledge of an upstream innovative Saturated Air® Flotation (SAF™) clarifier product, by Heron Innovators, allowed Tonka Water to provide a tertiary filtration effluent guarantee to meet California Title 22 requirements. The gravity filter system features Tonka Water’s Simul-Wash™ backwash process, saving thousands of gallons of water with each backwash.

Dualator® III System Commissioned in Menahga, MN

Tonka Water is pleased to announce the commissioning of a Dualator® III system in Menahga, Minnesota. This new unit replaces their original steel gravity filter, but includes aeration and detention, providing more robust treatment of iron and manganese.  The unique and space-efficient design of the Tonka Water Dualator® III offers a low-profile system that incorporates aeration, detention and filtration in a single treatment unit.

Tonka Water Gravity Filtration Plant Recently Commissioned in Nebraska

Utica, Nebraska now has a new gravity filtration system for the treatment of iron and manganese. This unique system is constructed of aluminum and includes Tonka Water's Simul-Wash™ backwash system, saving thousands of gallons of waste washwater per backwash. The filter's isolated cell design affords an efficient footprint and flexibility by allowing the operator to isolate individual cells within the vessel when needed. This feature allows the ability to take a cell off-line for backwash while continuing to treat water in the other cells, all the while keeping the plant operating at full capacity.

Dualator® III System to be Provided by Tonka Water in Savage, MN

Tonka Water is pleased to announce its selection to provide water treatment equipment for the city of Savage, Minnesota. This system includes two of Tonka Water’s unique Dualator® III’s incorporating aeration, detention and filtration in a single low-profile unit for the treatment of iron, manganese and radium. The system will include Tonka Water’s efficient Simul-Wash™ backwash system to provide optimal media cleansing while minimizing waste washwater. The new treatment units will replace existing Tonka Water gravity filters from the 1980’s, adding detention to the treatment process to satisfy regulatory requirements.

Surface Water Treatment Plant in Oklahoma Commissioned

A water treatment plant upgrade has recently been commissioned in Oklahoma which will utilize a Tonka Water RotaClear™ for the clarification process.  Tonka Water's RotaClear™ clarifier provides enhanced solids contact clarification with a single drive component, eliminating undue system complexity. A Tonka Water GVS Dual media gravity filter will follow the clarification step and includes our Simul-Wash backwash process for savings of up to 50% of the backwash waste water.

Tonka Water Plant Refurbished in Long Prairie, MN

Tonka Water recently completed a refurbishment for the Long Prairie, Minnesota water treatment plant by casting a new monolithic underdrain into the existing gravity filter and replacing the media retaining nozzles and media in order to extend the operational life of the plant for years to come.

Tonka Water Awarded Contract for Refurbishment in Minnewaukan, ND

Tonka Water has been chosen to provide equipment and services for the refurbishment of an existing 30 year old Tonka Water iron removal plant in Minnewaukan, North Dakota. This Tonka Water plant illustrates the longevity of Tonka Water's treatment products. The existing gravity filter system will receive new underdrains, media, valves and instrumentation to extend the operational life of the plant.
