Tonka Water has been chosen to provide a water treatment plant in Farley, Iowa. This water treatment system includes space efficient horizontal pressure filters for the treatment of iron. This system features an isolated cell design, an equipment option that affords operational flexibility with a compact, efficient footprint. Isolating individual cells within the vessel allows a plant operator to backwash or take a cell off-line while continuing to treat water in the other cells, all the while keeping the plant operating at full capacity. Additional features to this system include TonkaBlend™; a hydrous manganese oxide (HMO) feed system optimized for efficient feeding of HMO for radium removal and Tonka Water’s Simul-Wash™ backwash system, saving thousands of gallons of waste washwater over the lifetime of the plant.
