Tonka Water to Host Minnesota Trade Office Roundtable

Tonka Water is pleased to announce that it will host a roundtable discussion along with the Minnesota Trade Office on Friday, November 21. The event, MN Water Technology Export Roundtable: Saudi Arabia-special event with Water & Environmental Technologies Focus, will feature discussion of the unique challenges for the water market in Saudi Arabia. The roundtable will also examine regional impacts on other environmental technologies and services. Mr. Mohammed Shujauddin, Commercial Specialist with the US Consulate in Dhahran Saudi Arabia, will be present to lend specific insight to this region, and will be available for meetings following the roundtable. 

The roundtable is scheduled to begin and 11 a.m., with lunch included in the registration fee of $30.

Tonka Water Awarded Upgrades and Refurbishments in North Dakota

Tonka Water has received a contract to provide equipment for water treatment plant upgrades for Barnes Rural Water District in North Dakota. The upgrades include refurbishment of existing filters, new filters for additional capacity, and the addition of aeration, flocculation and sedimentation equipment.

Tonka Water awarded Pur-IX™ system in Illinois

Tonka Water has received a contract to provide water treatment plant improvements for the Sangamon Valley Public Water District in Illinois. The system includes two Dualator® III package units with aeration, detention and filtration followed by Tonka Water’s continuous ion exchange system, Pur-IX™.  The revolutionary Pur-IX™ system reduces salt usage and decreases waste volume.

Tonka Water Awarded Clarifier in Texas

Tonka Water has recently been awarded the construction of a large industrial water clarifier system in Texas. This lime softening clarifier is one of the largest in Tonka Water's prolific installation base with a diameter of just under 60 feet!

Tonka Water Awarded Utility Project In Florida

A major Florida utility has awarded Tonka Water the supply of a Reverse Osmosis pretreatment filter system designed to improve intake water quality. This is the latest in a series of power utility project awards.  For this recent project, Tonka Water will provide 4 vertical pressure filters with Simul-Wash™ backwash system.

Delivered Treatment System in Plant Vogtle, Georgia

The newly opened Plant Vogtle water treatment plant is one of Tonka Water's Delivered Treatment Systems (DTS), incorporating multiple processes in a compact building.

This facility provides potable water for offices and facilities at the outer perimeter of Plant Vogtle, GA. Specifically, this DTS includes chemical feed, iron and manganese filtration, high lift pumping from outside ground storage, high lift pumping and complete controls. The capacity rating for this plant is 150 gpm. Another Delivered Treatment System, the City of Aiken’s radium removal system using ion exchange, is nearby - only 40 miles from Plant Vogtle.

Tonka Water Project Featured in North Dakota Water Magazine

Ion Exchange In Arcadia, FL

The most recent issue of the Florida Water Resources Journal has an article about the new water treatment plant in Arcadia, FL. The article, "Ion Exchange and Disposal Issues with the Brine Waste System," outlines the design process of this groundwater plant. Tonka Water piloted for Arcadia, and our Ion Exchange equipment was used in the final design of the new system.
